Co-CEO of CC Finance Group and Founder Alan Cuschieri today launched Malta’s first ever digital payments, titled ‘Moneybase.’

“Moneybase is focused on making finance easier for the consumer and redefines how people make use of, grow and handle their money,” Cuschieri said at the launch in Birkirkara.

The €10 million investment took four years of development which resulted into an app where consumers can manage their finances, he said.

Maltese nationals, foreigners as well as expats can open bank accounts with Moneybase immediately and without any unnecessary paperwork, Cuschieri said.

The application offers a wide variety of designs of banking cards where one can make a physical and virtual card for payments. The payments are instant and free, and can be made in several countries, Cuschieri said.

Online payments can be made easily with the approval of push notifications within the app, making the online shopping experience seamless, he said.

“With Moneybase, the consumer can enjoy a fully digital experience without the need of paperwork,” Cuschieri added. He said that over 20,000 investments can be accessed through the app.

Cuschieri said that the core beliefs of the company is to look into the benefits of the local community, client experience and onboarding experience. He said that the app is a testimony to the ability of the Maltese workforce, and the financial service in Malta is looking at a bright future.

“We are working closely with the Maltese community to better help shake the next generation, serving the needs for the customers. Finance should not be hard and together we will make money simple,” Cuschieri said.

Moneybase also provides ISO certified customer service seven days a week, he said.

Finance Minister Clyde Caruana also attended the launch and said that the sense of courage in the local industry was being felt. He commended the work done towards Moneybase.
