Another 25 people have been arrested for living in Malta illegally, police said on Monday.

In a statement, the police said that it had carried out inspections in Paola and Fgura early on Monday morning which resulted in the arrests.

Those who were arrested are from India, Bangladesh, Syria, and Colombia amongst other countries.

The inspections were carried out by the police and the detention services.
