The National Blood Transfusion Service is urging people on its Facebook page to be responsible during celebrations for the New Year

“Only a few days left before we start a new year. While we thank everyone who is donating blood, we call for responsible driving without consumption of alcohol and substances (even legal ones)”, was the message of NBTS on Wednesday.

NBTS encouraged everyone who wants to do something good for patients in need to come to the Blood Donation Centre of Guardamanġia and donate blood.

The Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Directorate and the Transport Malta Facebook pages also urged the public to cooperate in being responsible when choosing to drive.

The NBTS Donation Centre is open from Monday to Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

ID card and mask are required upon entrance.
