The National Book Council (NBC) is proud to announce that Kampus Kotba, the 2023 Campus Book Festival, will be held between Wednesday, 22 and Friday, 24 March at the University of Malta Quadrangle.

The Campus Book Festival brings together several local exhibitors - varying from established publishers to bookshops and NGOs - for three days of events and book browsing opportunities. The cultural programme's main target are students, but events are also open to the general public.

This year's edition will be celebrating Maltese literature and in particular some of the winners of the 2022 National Book prize. The Festival's programme will be testament to this through interviews and literary exchanges. Furthermore, the Festival will also open discussions to certain hot topics such as the use of ChatGPT and its repercussions in academia and publishing. The public will be invited to participate in a number of activities such as workshops in creative writing and illustration, book clubs and literature readings, including the annual Palk Ħieles Campus event organised by Inizjamed.

The characteristic collaborative element of the Campus Book Festival allows for an exchange of ideas between students, teachers and professionals within the publishing industry. In order to bring forth a varied and exciting cultural programme, the NBC is collaborating with student associations, university departments and NGOs: Think magazine, Arts Council Malta, L-Għaqda tal-Malti, the University Departments of English and Artificial Intelligence, the Islanders' Book Club and LGBTI+ Gozo.

Some events require pre-booking.
