Rock Classics of the 60's & 70's is the next Spectacular Rock Orchestral project embarked by The Gozo Youth Orchestra in conjunction with 7SPP and in collaboration with Festivals Malta. Joining the 55-strong orchestra with brand-new orchestrations under the direction of its musical director Mro Joseph Grech, Cash & Band with its band leader John (Cash) Cassar, an astounding line-up of solo singers will join the 12-piece backing choir directed by Dorothy Bezzina. This includes Neville Refalo, Sarah Bonnici, Ludwig Galea, Dorothy Bezzina, Chris Grech and Kurt Cassar who already performed to great acclaim in past rock orchestral concerts put up by the Gozo Youth Orchestra and 7SPP. Rock Classics of the 60's & 70's will give tribute to the classic rock masterpieces of The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Led Zeppelin, Blondie, Procol Harlem, Deep Purple, Nazareth, Supertramp, The Animals, Pink Floyd, Boston and artists such as Elvis Presley, Eric Clapton, Rod Stewart, Elton John and David Bowie.
