Special venue for this year’s edition of Opera vs Pop Under The Stars

The Gozo Youth Orchestra is proud to announce that this year's Opera vs Pop under the stars 15th edition will be held at the iconic venue of Ggantija Archaeological Park, UNESCO World Heritage Site, Xaghra, Gozo on Monday, 31 July at 8.30pm, under the distinguished patronage of the US Ambassador to Malta Constance J. Milstein. Limited number of places are available (on a first-come first-served basis) and special logistic arrangements are being adhered to safeguard this site.

The concert consists of arias, duets and orchestral excerpts from the opera world in the first part while shifting to a lighter style repertoire spanning from musical theatre, soundtracks and pop music in the second part. The Gozo Youth Orchestra will be under the direction of its founder and musical director Mro Dr Joseph Grech enriched with resident singers Nicola Said (soprano), Noel Galea (bass), Ludwig Galea (pop tenor), Sarah Bonnici (pop singer) and special guest soprano singers Dorothy Bezzina and Rachel Fabri. During this concert, the Gozo Youth Orchestra will also announce the upcoming programme of events scheduled for the remaining of this year and the whole of 2024.
