10th edition of Ceramic Arts of the Maltese Islands

The much-anticipated 10th edition of the Ceramic Arts of the Maltese Islands exhibition is all set to captivate art enthusiasts and visitors. The exhibition will run until 27 August at the prestigious Cittadella Cultural Centre in Victoria, Gozo. Organised by the Gozo Cultural Directorate, this year's festival promises to be the most comprehensive and impressive showcase of ceramic art ever held in Malta.

The grand inauguration ceremony, under the esteemed patronage of the Minister for Gozo, was held on 24 July, marking the official commencement of this extraordinary exhibition.

 

Celebrating artistic diversity: Over 50 exhibitors including young prodigies and honouring departed artists

This landmark 10th edition of Ceramic Arts of the Maltese Islands will feature more than 50 exhibitors, each contributing their unique vision and artistic prowess. This exhibition transcends generations and includes artists in their 1980s, those at the pinnacle of their careers and will also encompass the works of four exceptionally talented artists under the age of 15, illustrating the emergence of young prodigies in the local ceramic art scene. Additionally, we pay tribute to five dearly departed artists, whose legacy continues to inspire and resonate within the artistic community.

This awe-inspiring display of creativity will traverse the entire spectrum of ceramic artistry, featuring both traditional and contemporary styles, showcasing the innovative techniques and profound stories behind each masterpiece.
