Kite Publications recently published Vincenzo Bonello: His legacy in Heritage, edited by Dr Theresa Vella. The launch took place in the Oratory, St John's Co-Cathedral, last month. The event was supported by The Alfred Mizzi Foundation.

John Aquilina, musician and leading organist played some beautiful music taking those present on a journey through the Baroque period, ending with a Maltese composer, Emmanuele Galea's (1790-1850), Sinfonia Pastorale.  

Julian Sammut, Foundation Chairman, said that this publication was long overdue and that thanks to the several wonderful articles found in it, Vincenzo Bonello's lifelong achievements for art and culture in Malta will be fittingly remembered.

Dr Vella, delivered a short address on Vincenzo Bonello's life work, whilst Professor Mark Anthony Falzon gave a brief overview of the writings to be found within the book. Judge Giovanni Bonello, son of Vincenzo and grandchildren Daniela Falzon and Stefan Xuereb, Alf Mizzi and Sons Group Chairman Dr Alec Mizzi, were present for the  launch together with several of the book's contributors, art lovers, friends and TAMF administrators. The event was supported by The Alfred Mizzi Foundation whose mission statement is "The promotion diffusion and safeguarding of Maltese culture, its heritage, education and social solidarity." Refreshments and the signing of the book by Judge Giovanni Bonello followed.
