She encouraged Maltese MPs to take part in meetings organized in Brussels and Strasbourg during which European laws are discussed. In this way, she said, they can contribute with their ideas at an early stage of the discussions on subjects that affect the Maltese and Gozitan people.

Speaker Farrugia thanked President Metsola for the work she is doing at the helm of the European Parliament. He said that he looks forward to the two Parliaments working more closely together for  the strengthening of democracy.
