Alice Feeney... I know who you are - and I know what you did. Publisher: Harper Collins / 2019. Pages: 340

Aimee Sinclair is an actress that is becoming more and more popular. She has been getting more and more film parts and is now instantly recognisable wherever she goes.

But she carries around with her a dark secret - actually more than one.

The latest trauma she passed through was when she went home and discovered her husband was missing.

Then two police officers turn up and begin to imply she knows what happened to him and even had a hand in his disappearance.

To become a good actress one has to dissimulate and she has become rather good at it.

Life has taught her valuable lessons on dissimulation ever since she was a small girl forced to live under a name that was not hers.

She is beset on all sides and begins to doubt her sanity and agree at the end with those who hate her and who wish her evil.

She cannot recollect those crucial hours but can never believe she is so evil.

There seems to be someone who hates her and who seems to know more about her than she knows herself. Someone who keeps sending her messages that he or she knows what she did.

It looks like she is doomed to be found guilty even though she cannot remember what she did and does not feel guilty at all.
