Antoinette Vassallo will again occupy the post of Commissioner for Children, with this being her second term.

This decision was confirmed by the Permentne Committee for Social Affairs within the Ministry for Social Policy and Children's Rights, which approved her nomination.

Over the past three years, Vassallo continued propoting and strenghtening the protection of children, a statement by the government read.

The main priority of the Commissioner remains to safeguard the rights and social protection of children, it said.
