On Sunday 26th January, 2025, Dar Frate Jacoba in Marsascala welcomed The Military and Hospitaller Order of St Lazarus of Jerusalem for its Annual General Meeting, a statement by the Order read.
The AGM started off with Mass celebrated by the Order's Spiritual Director Fr Joseph Cini and it was dedicated to Lepers around the World since the day itself was World Lepers Day.
Addressing members during the AGM, Grand Prior H.E. Dr Chev Raymond Gatt gave an overview of all activities carried out the previous year and presented a breakdown of the Order's finances and how money was distributed to help those in need both locally and abroad. "We must keep in mind those in need. Your active participation in the various events that we organise throughout the year will help the Order to generate funds, funds that in return will be distributed towards good causes" the Grand Prior said according to the statement.
The AGM came to an end with lunch prepared by the staff and residents of Dar Frate Jacoba and an additional donation of €500 was presented to Fr Raymond Sciclua - Director of Dar Frate Jacoba.
