Spazju Kreattiv continues its ŻiguŻajg Season 2024-2025, a brimming programme featuring over 10 projects and collaborations with 35 artists. This season promises to immerse children, families and schools in a year-long celebration of creativity, discovery and artistic expression. Building on the resounding success of previous editions, ŻiguŻajg continues to inspire young minds through its carefully curated mix of performances, workshops and interactive experiences designed to captivate and educate audiences of all ages.

This year, the ŻiguŻajg season invites children to embark on imaginative journeys through theatre, cinema and art. The Young Cavaliers Summer Theatre programme is an innovative project offering an immersive six-week exploration of storytelling, acting and stagecraft for aspiring performers aged seven and above. It is an opportunity for children to delve into the world of theatre, building confidence and lifelong friendships along the way. Meanwhile, a revamped Kids Dig Science promises to captivate curious minds with its unique fusion of science and art. Using puppetry and live performance, it explores fascinating themes such as dinosaurs, robotics and the mysteries of genetics, seamlessly blending humour and education in a way that only ŻiguŻajg can deliver.

Inclusivity lies at the heart of ŻiguŻajg and this season's TechRail production exemplifies this commitment. A multi-sensory theatre experience designed specifically for neurodivergent audiences, it blends technology, storytelling and sensory engagement to create a safe and magical space for children of all ages. Other highlights include intimate performances such as the international show Be Kind, which introduces babies to the wonder of acrobatics and juggling, and Chasing Rainbows, a vibrant and interactive performance for toddlers, returning by popular demand.

This season's film programme features a selection of magical stories on the big screen, specially chosen for children to enjoy with their families. Whether it's tales of bravery, friendship or adventure, these films are sure to spark imaginations, bring characters to life and create joyful moments to be shared together. Similarly, hands-on workshops, including papier-mâché mask-making and the ŻiguŻajg Art Jam - Summer Bootcamp, provide children with the chance to create, collaborate, and take home their own artistic masterpieces.

As always, ŻiguŻajg equips children with the tools to explore their imagination, challenge their perspectives and connect with the world around them in meaningful ways. With interactive performances such as the critically-acclaimed Kish Kush, exploring themes of cultural diversity and empathy, ŻiguŻajg ensures there is something for everyone to enjoy and be inspired by throughout the year.

This commitment to fostering creativity is echoed by Rupert Cefai, executive chairperson of Fondazzjoni Kreattività, who emphasised the importance of cultivating artistic expression from a young age: "ŻiguŻajg is a celebration of the boundless potential within every child. By providing opportunities to engage with the arts, we help shape not only future audiences but future creators who will carry the spirit of creativity forward."

Spazju Kreattiv artistic director Daniel Azzopardi shared his vision for the season, highlighting ŻiguŻajg's role in placing arts and culture at the core of Maltese society. He explained: "Through ŻiguŻajg, we strive to nurture the imagination of children and their families, showing how the arts can be a source of joy, connection and inspiration. This season reflects our belief in the arts as a cornerstone of well-being, offering experiences that are as enriching as they are entertaining."

This season, let ŻiguŻajg transport you and your loved ones into a world of endless possibilities. Join us at Spazju Kreattiv for a year filled with wonder, laughter and creativity.
