On the occasion of the Catholic Church's Jubilee of Hope, the Gozo Regional Orchestra will perform this original sacred music composition, It-Triq tas-Salib, on Saturday, 12 April at 7.30pm at St Anthony Church, Ghajnsielem, Gozo.
It will be conducted by the composer himself, Mro Joseph Galea, together with tenor Angelo Muscat, baritone Ken Scicluna, with lyrics and reflections by the Franciscan friars Marcellino Ghirlando OFM (narrator during the performance) and the late Fr Raymond Camilleri OFM.
This vocal and orchestral composition is structured around the 14 Stations of the Cross, each station will be complemented by a relevant reflection. The climax of this Cantata will be reached at the end of the 14th station by the soloists, choir and orchestra with the execution of Gesu' jqum mill-mewt (Jesus has risen) - Hallelujah!
Mro Galea will conduct this orchestral Cantata and the prelude will be a new funeral march entitled Gublew tal-Hniena that he composed for this special occasion.

Entrance is free but donations will be accepted for the purchase of a new set of bells for St Anthony Franciscan Church, Ghajnsielem.
