An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen in a hold-up on a grocery store in Cospicua, the police said.
The robbery took place at 3am in San Pawl Street.
The police said a man wearing a hoodie and armed with a knife entered the shop and demanded money from the cashier, a 30-uear-old on woman.
He then made off with the cash.
Magistrate Antoine Agius Bonnici is leading an inquiry.
