Two people were injured after being hit by car.

At around 8:00am on Sunday, the Police were informed that assistance was needed at Vjal il-Ħelsien, Żebbuġ.

The Police went to scene, and preliminary investigations revealed that a 68-year-old man and a 64-year-old woman, both residents of Ħaż-Żebbuġ, sustained injuries after being hit by a Peugeot 306 driven by a 59-year-old man, also a resident of Ħaż-Żebbuġ.

A medical team was called to the scene, and an ambulance transported both individuals to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment. Later, the woman was certified to have suffered grievous injuries, while the man sustained minor injuries.

Police investigations are still ongoing.
