The China Cultural Centre in Malta, in collaboration with the Santa Luċija Local Council, is delighted to announce the return of the much-anticipated Spring Fair on Saturday, 26th April 2025. This festive event will be held from 11:00am to 2:00pm at the picturesque Chinese Garden of Serenity, with free entry for all.

Set against the tranquil backdrop of one of Malta's most iconic gardens, the Spring Fair offers a vibrant celebration of Chinese and Maltese culture. Designed to inspire connection and appreciation, the event highlights the richness of cultural traditions through music, art, performance, and culinary delights.

This year, April 26 also marks the World Taiji Day, which is observed globally on the last Saturday of April. The Spring Fair will feature Taiji performances by both Chinese and Maltese enthusiasts, showcasing an elegant and powerful expression of balance, strength, and inner calm.

Visitors can look forward to a dynamic programme that promises to engage all the senses. The sounds of traditional Chinese music and dance will fill the garden, offering a graceful and spirited glimpse into China's performing arts. Those with an artistic flair will have the chance to explore the elegance of Chinese calligraphy, guided by experienced artists, and admire the beauty of Hanfu, the flowing, traditional garments that echo China's historical legacy.

A variety of authentic Chinese dishes will be served throughout the day, inviting guests to savour the distinctive flavours of Chinese cuisine. Meanwhile, the Aurora Folk Dance group from Gozo will bring a touch of Maltese energy to the stage, with lively performances that celebrate local folk traditions. Rounding out the programme, young pianists from the Malta Piano Academy will enchant audiences with a recital that showcases emerging musical talent from across the islands.

Mark the date, gather your loved ones, and come see how culture blossoms. We will meet you in the garden.
