Hiberians F.C. has terminated its contract with goalkeeper Justin Haber.

The former national team goalkeeper and former Labour councillor was found guilty of subjecting a minor under the age of fifteen to acts or behaviour of a sexual nature.

Haber was sentenced to two years imprisonment, suspended for four years. He was also fined €7,000 and a three-year restraining order was issued in favour of the victim.

"This is to confirm that the agreement between the club and player Justin Haber has been terminated. No further comment will be made at this time," the club said in a statement on social media.
