A man was grievously injured in a traffic accident in Gozo.
At around 9am on Friday, the Police were informed of a traffic accident in Triq l-Imġarr, Għajnsielem, Gozo.
The Police immediately went on site, and from preliminary investigations it resulted that a collision had occurred between a Mitsubishi L200 driven by a 35-year-old man residing in Xagħra, and a Suzuki GSXR motorcycle driven by a 43-year-old man residing in Nadur. A 19-year-old youth from Nadur was also riding on the motorcycle.
As a consequence of this accident, a Toyota Corolla driven by a 67-year-old man from Qala and an Alfa Romeo driven by a 55-year-old man from Munxar sustained some damage.
A medical team was called to the scene, and an ambulance took the 43-year-old driver and the 19-year-old youth to the Gozo General Hospital, where the driver was certified to have suffered grievous injuries, while the other sustained slight injuries.
Magistrate Brigitte Sultana was informed of the case and appointed an inquiry, while police investigations are still ongoing.
