The Electoral, Records and Data Commission of the Partit Nazzjonalista said that as of 4pm yesterday, when the nomination period officially closed, a total of 34 nominations were submitted for the election of representatives from the PN General Council to the Party's Executive Committee.
This election will take place on Friday, 17 October, during the opening session of the Administrative General Council of the PN, held under the theme "Dan hu l-Mument". A total of 18 seats are to be filled on the Executive Committee, and all PN Councillors (members of the General Council) are eligible to vote in this election.
Voting on Friday will take place at the PN Headquarters in Tal-Pietà (Malta) between 12pm and 9pm, and at the PN Sub-Headquarters in Ta' Sannat (Gozo) between 12pm and 7pm. Councillors may vote at either of the polling stations according to their preference, without the need to give prior notice.
According to the Statute of the Partit Nazzjonalista, there are four distinct lists of candidates. Six (6) women, six (6) men, four (4) youths, and two (2) Gozitan representatives are to be elected. Those obtaining the highest number of votes within each respective list will be elected.

The PN Electoral Commission said all voters that they must present their Identity Card when voting in order to receive their ballot sheet. Each PN Councillor is entitled to a separate vote for each of the four lists.
