A total of 63 rock music events will be supported in 2026 through the Rock'n Malta scheme, benefiting around 1,800 local artists with a collective investment of €1 million, Minister for Culture Owen Bonnici announced.

Administered by Festivals Malta, the fund provides financial and consultative support to organisers, promoters, artists and bands, with the aim of raising the standard of rock music events in Malta.

Minister Bonnici described the €1 million investment as a clear sign of government confidence in local talent, noting that the supported concerts will generate creative opportunities, employment and increased cultural activity across the country.

Festivals Malta Chairman Aaron Zahra said the scheme continues to attract a high number of applications each year, reflecting its importance and the need for ongoing investment in the local rock scene. He added that the fund helps deliver high-quality events featuring both local and international talent.

Festivals Malta CEO Frans Agius explained that while Rock'n Malta events are not directly organised by Festivals Malta, the agency plays a key role by offering both financial assistance and professional guidance. He encouraged rock music enthusiasts to attend the supported events throughout the year.

The events benefiting from the Rock'n Malta fund will take place between January and December 2026. A full list of beneficiaries is available on the Festivals Malta website.
