A 48-year-old man was injured in an incident that occurred at around 7am on Friday at a quarry on Triq Ħ'Attard, Attard.

From investigations carried out, it resulted that a collision occurred between a DAF truck driven by a 36-year-old man from Msida and a forklift driven by the victim, police said.

A medical team was called to the scene and the man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance. Later, he was certified as suffering from serious injuries.

Investigations by the Police, together with the Occupational Health and Safety Authority, are still ongoing.
