A Colombian man was arrested in Paceville on drug trafficking charges and is expected to be charged in court on Sunday afternoon.

The man, a 31-year-old, was spotted while police officers were patrolling Triq il-Wilġa in Paceville.  The man was seen riding a motorcycle and “acting suspiciously.”

He was stopped, searched, and a bag hidden under the motorcycle seat was found to contain 14 packets of what is suspected to be cocaine, four packets containing what is suspected to be MDMA, seven pills thought to be ecstasy, and a packet containing what is thought to be LSD.

The man was held under arrest and is expected to be charged on Sunday afternoon before Magistrate Giannella Camilleri Busuttil.
