A 26-year-old man was arrested on drug trafficking charges as he was caught red-handed with drugs in his possession.

Police said that officers were informed of a drug deal in a parking area in Triq l-Iljun in Qormi at around 5pm on Tuesday.

Officers on site noted a suspicious person exiting a vehicle, and a search of him and his vehicle resulted in the finding of around 100 packets of synthetic drugs and some money.

The man, a 26-year-old from Qormi, was arrested and is set to be charged on Wednesday.
