More than 350 business and technology leaders representing over 102 organisations came together at EY Engage 2026 to explore how organisations can build the AI-ready enterprise and navigate the opportunities, challenges and responsibilities that come with accelerating AI adoption.
The event brought together industry experts, technology leaders and practitioners for a day of keynote sessions, panel discussions and interactive workshops focused on the practical realities of AI adoption. Discussions explored how organisations are building trusted data foundations, strengthening cyber resilience, establishing effective governance frameworks and transforming operations through AI-driven technologies, while balancing innovation, risk management and long-term business value.
Opening the event, Georghios Tziortzis, EY Malta & Cyprus Head of Consulting Services, highlighted that while AI technologies are becoming increasingly accessible, sustainable success depends on how effectively organisations implement them and embed them within their operations.
"The technology is already here. What now sets leading organisations apart is their ability to make decisive choices and execute with speed. Success will belong to those that combine agile decision-making, trusted internal capabilities, experienced advisors, strong governance, and a relentless focus on accelerating delivery."
The programme began with Enable: Creating AI-Ready Data and Intelligent Workflows, where speakers explored how organisations are leveraging trusted data foundations, intelligent workflows and AI-enabled operating models to drive productivity and unlock business value.
Throughout the day, speakers explored the opportunities and challenges of building the AI-ready enterprise, covering topics such as AI-ready data foundations, intelligent workflows, cyber resilience, governance, trust and responsible AI adoption. Discussions focused on how organisations are managing risk, driving innovation and creating the conditions needed to realise value from AI at scale.
A highlight of the programme was the industry panel, which brought together leaders from government, financial services and technology to share practical experiences of deploying AI in operational environments. The discussions were complemented by interactive workshops that provided attendees with hands-on exposure to AI-enabled cybersecurity solutions and agentic AI tools.
The discussions continued during the afternoon workshops, where participants gained hands-on experience with AI-enabled cybersecurity solutions and agentic AI tools, exploring practical use cases and implementation considerations that can help organisations accelerate their transformation journeys.
