On his arrival in Rome, Dr Fenech Adami will be paying a courtesy call on Italian President Carlo Azeglio Ciampi.

Following the audience with the Pope, the Maltese president will be meeting with Secretary of State Cardinal Angelo Sodano.

President Fenech Adami is also scheduled to make a courtesy call on the Grandmaster of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta and of Rhodes Fra Andrew Bertie, who will bestow the collar of the order Pro Merito Melitense upon the President.

The President and his delegation will leave Italy on Saturday.
