This is the 19th edition of the volleyball marathon in which around 1,500 youths are expected to participate. The proceeds will this year be donated to Dar tal-Provvidenza, the Ursuline Creche and to the Lourdes Home in Gozo.
Dr Galea said the Kerygma Movement was doing a sterling job in the Maltese community and thanked all the helpers for their work. He also praised the enthusiasm of the participants who help out on a voluntary basis.
He wished the participants good luck and appealed to the Maltese public to be generous and donate as much as possible for such a worthy cause.
