APCCS said that one of its principal aims is the promotion of active parental involvement in their children’s education and the safeguarding of children’s rights in such schools.

While stressing that these values could only flourish in a secure school environment that is free from fear, hatred and lack of respect for human dignity, it felt that the security of children and of the school environment should never be breached or put at risk for the furtherance of any political aims.

Finally, the association joined local and international condemnation of such barbarous acts, especially on the first day of school that was intended to be a day of celebrations for parents, teachers and the children. Such behaviour only deeply offends the dignity of the human being and debases his or her identity, the association said.
