The young man, from Birkirkara, was apprehended in Lija late on Monday evening. The drug squad had information that the man had been trafficking drugs in Lija and other localities.
When caught, he was found to be carrying heroin, ready packaged to be sold. A search of his Birkirkara residence resulted in more drugs being found.
Duty magistrate Antonio Mizzi was informed of the find and he appointed several experts to help with the inquiry.
