A 41-year-old Turkish man was arraigned in court yesterday afternoon and charged with drug possession and importation and conspiracy.
The man admitted importing 9,000 ecstasy pills at Malta International Airport on 31 March. He had just arrived from Milan and the drugs were found in his luggage.
The court, presided over by Magistrate Miriam Hayman, denied the accused bail. Police Inspector Nezren Grixti prosecuted.
