A team of four students attending the ICT Institute of the Malta College for Arts, Science and Technology (MCAST) have placed second in an international competition organised by Oracle.
Ron Borg, Christian Camilleri, Keithrik Buhagiar and Gerson Seguna placed second after Warwick High School from the US. Leigh City Technology College in the UK placed third.
Investment, Industry and IT minister Austin Gatt yesterday presented the four students with a small gift in the presence of Kevin Galea from Oracle.
The Oracle Java Competition is organised by the Oracle Academy every year and more than 100 institutes took part in the fifth edition of the competition.
Oracle Academies provide training in 18 countries for more than 10,000 students.
