The Tumas Fenech Foundation for Journalism Education has recently drawn up a list of activities for journalists which will be organised over the coming months.

The programme includes a number of courses and seminars on journalism which will be organised following recommendations of the Board of Studies within the Institute of Maltese Journalists chaired by The Malta Independent journalist Charlot Zahra.

These courses and seminars cover a wide array of subjects including media relations with the police, irregular immigrants, the right to information, the European Parliament, photojournalism and improving writing skills in English and Maltese.

The Tumas Fenech Foundation was set up six years ago with the aim of facilitating education for journalists. Its president is President Emeritus Ugo Mifsud Bonnici.
