Mro Carmelo Pace Birthday centenary grand concert

The Mdina Cathedral Museum Commission is organising a grand concert on the occasion of the birthday centenary of Mro Carmelo Pace.

The concert, under the Distinguished Patronage Archbishop Mgr Joseph Mercieca, will be at the Manoel Theatre, Valletta, on Tuesday, 6 June at 7.30pm.

The APS Bank and the Mro Carmelo Pace Foundation, of the same museum, are sponsoring this concert with the collaboration of the Manoel Theatre and the Orkestra Nazzjonali. The programme features important works of Mro Pace, including the Premiere Performance of the Trionfo di Fede, Cantata No. 1 from the Opera-Oratorio Alba Dorata.

Marceline Agius will be the leader of the orchestra, Ramona Zammit Formosa will execute Pace’s Piano Concerto No. 1, while Rita Dimech (Soprano), Charles Vincenti (Tenor), Kevin Caruana (Baritone) and Noel Galea (Bass) will be the other participants.

The Gaulitanus Choir and the Orchestra Nazzjonali have been left in charge of this programme. Mro Colin Attard is the conductor. Tickets will be available for the public free of charge, from the Manoel Theatre Booking Office from Saturday. Booking comes to an end once all seats had been reserved.
