New Collective agreement for Malta Transport Authority

The Union Haddiema Maghqudin (UHM) and the Malta Transport Authority (ADT) have a signed a new collective agreement.

The agreement will lead to an improvement in working conditions and salaries, flexi-time for those working office hours and the introduction of a roster for shift workers.

Employees in different departments will also be provided with a uniform, and will benefit from a health scheme, the introduction of a system of reduced hours and the opportunity to take up to five years “parental leave”.

The agreement, which covers the period from 1 January 2003 to 31 December 2006, was signed by Antoine Azzopardi on behalf of the workers and by ADT chief executive officer Gianfranco Selvaggi.
