HSBC Is giving gold to graduates

Malta Independent Tuesday, 5 December 2006, 00:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

HSBC Bank has announced that it is offering a free Gold Account to all employed graduates graduating this year. This is a special limited offer which comes to an end on 15 December.

This offer is in addition to the various benefits available under the YES 4 Graduates package offered by HSBC. Whether graduates are considering setting up a new business or practice, buying a new car, a home or possibly even mulling over the idea of furthering their studies, HSBC Yes 4 Graduates offers a complete range of banking services and benefits that are available for up to four years after graduation.

The package gives graduates preferential interest rates on loans to finance post-graduate studies, whether locally or abroad; a fee-free credit card for two years (credit cards attract a Lm7 government levy which must be paid by the customer); a discounted Flexicredit loan, one month’s free premium on a Savings Plan and a Private Retirement plan and higher interest rates on savings.

“HSBC decided to reward graduates, after years of study at university, by offering them their own free Gold Account. HSBC understands that the first few years after university are an important period during which young people begin to build their careers, and getting the finance needed to set up a new business or to purchase the first home can be a challenge,” said HSBC head of personal financial services Godfrey Swain.

“Through this newly revamped graduates’ package, HSBC is providing young people with the opportunity to move ahead in life without facing unnecessary financial difficulties,” Mr Swain continued.

More information about HSBC’s Graduates Package can by obtained by calling HSBC Customer Service on 2380-2380, from the website www.hsbc.com.mt or by visiting any HSBC branch around Malta and Gozo.
