Malta Independent Sunday, 14 January 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 21 years ago

This is the running order of the singers in the semi-final round of the Malta Song for Europe to be held on 1 February at the new conference centre in Ta' Qali:

1. Kevin Borg – Whenever; 2. AnnaBelle – Night-wish; 3. Tarcisio Barbara – Places to go; 4. Claudia Faniello – L-Imhabba ghamja (Love is blind); 5. Rosman Pace – Rollercoaster Ride; 6. Julia Grima – Ice Queen; 7. William Mangion – Forever mine; 8. Olivia Lewis – Vertigo; 9. Klinsmann Coleiro – She gives me wings; 10. Julie Pomorsky – Look at me; 11. Daniela Delicata – Little islands in your heart; 12. Pamela – All about a life; 13. SCAR – As long as you know; 14. Isabelle Zammit – My love; 15. Mauro Kitcher – Unite; 16. Trilogy – Starlight.

J.Anvil (Malta Song for Europe 2005 and 2006 singer) and Stephanie Spiteri (TV presenter) will present the show on both 1 and 3 February.

The lines for televoting will remain open for half an hour for both the semi-final and the final. Only one call can be made from each number.

To ensure that the jury will not be influenced by the reaction of the audience to any song, they will watch the show in

another room on television. Another possible reason is that as the Eurovision Contest is mainly a television show, actually watching it on television will help them with their decision.

The televotes as well as the jury votes will be given in the well-known Eurovision Song Contest style (1-8, 10, 12). In order not to influence the result of the final, the actual number of votes received by each of the six winners will not be revealed until after the final to be held on 3 February.

The opening and interval acts of the semi-final will be performed by the YADA dance company. Fabrizio Faniello will open the night of the final and Ruslana will perform during the interval.

Tickets will be available from tomorrow at Maltapost, music shops and the Malta Culture Office.
