A group of Maltese entrepreneurs recently went on a trade mission to Egypt organised by Malta Enterprise and Bank of Valletta. BOV supported this business development initiative through its office in Cairo with BOV’s Egypt manager, Ian Messina, being an active participant in the trade mission.

Maltese entrepreneurs promoted a mix of products and services that were well received by the Egyptian entrepreneurs with whom they had meetings in Cairo. The programme also included a visit to the Embassy of Malta where a number of meetings were held. A networking lunch with the Consul of Malta in Alexandria was also organised.

Following the success of this business trip, another follow up trade mission is being considered for the first half of 2007. This event is one in a series of initiatives supported by Malta Enterprise to assist companies in their efforts to internationalise their business.
