Court: Suspended Sentence for corruption of a minor

A man was given a two-year jail term suspended for four, after he pleaded guilty to corrupting a minor in December last year.

Following a request from the prosecution, the court issued an order of restraint on the man for a three-year period to ensure the protection of the girl.

The court also ordered a ban on the names and particulars of both the man and the victim.

Magistrate Joseph Apap Bologna presided over the court.

Police Inspector Raymond Aquilina prosecuted, while Dr David Farrugia Sacco appeared for the accused.
