Dutch Company files court case over trademark rights

Malta Independent Thursday, 26 July 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

A Dutch company filed an application before the First Hall of the Civil Court yesterday, claiming that another company is breaching the trademark F1.

In its application, Formula One Licensing BV claimed that Lively Ltd, which is registered in the UK, had applied for rights over a trademark F&1. The company said this violated its intellectual property rights and called on the court to order the UK company to pay it damages.

Dr Luigi Sansone signed the writ.
