This summer saw Malta’s name being associated to chart-topping names in the music industry – Ira Losco took the stage just before the international acts at the Isle of MTV show, and impressed both the crowd of 30,000 and the MTV media moguls present. Although it was surprisingly reported in the local media that it is very disappointing that the local acts would not be shown on the Isle of MTV, Ira Losco’s management company have received an incredible feedback from various heads of MTV territories and decision-makers.

“Record companies have a hard time to get their artists’ videos shown on the MTV network so having a showcase in front of the key people is something not to be taken lightly. We have been lucky to have Ira’s video shown on MTV Germany and other TV stations but our plans are far more ambitious this time round ” said Howard Keith from Jagged House.

Alongside the other acts, Ira Losco performed an energetic set including her latest single Something to Talk About. With the single doing so well on radio rotation and being in such demand, Jagged House management have decided to release the single as a physical copy in the next few weeks.

The single will also include the long-awaited mashed version of Nancy Sinatra’s and Iggy Pop’s These Boots/ Lust for Life as well as Who I am both recorded live from her sold-out Unplugged Vodafone Concert last March. This will give a snippet of what is to come in the DVD to be released later on.

Ira Losco has been asked to perform at the Waterfront on 25 August alongside Gianni Morandi, Claudio Baglioni, Riccardo Cocciante, Ivan Grech and Ivan Filletti.
