The 31st Mosta Girl Guides were certified and received a goody bag for participating in the international survey Money, Money, Money conducted by the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS)
The group aged between 10 and 14 years, discussed how money makes a difference in women’s lives around the world. The data contributed to this report will help make the voice of girls and young women heard around the world. Thanks to their contribution WAGGGS can speak out with a stronger voice to make sure decisions are taken to improve girls’ lives and the lives of others.
WAGGGS conducted this survey for Plan International, an NGO helping children and particularly girls around the world. Every year they publish the Because I am a girl report. The report focuses on economic empowerment and will be published later this year. The Because I am a girl reports are disseminated to the UN, governments, NGOs and other decision-makers to inform about and advocate on behalf of girls
worldwide.
More than 3,500 submissions from 24 countries were submitted and 50 groups were selected at random and will receive a goody bag in addition to the certificate.
