A group of German artists from the GEDOK Cultural Association in Bonn, came to Malta recently to visit the the Tempra Contemporary Art Museum in Mgarr.
Among the 250 artists exhibiting at this museum are several German artists, including one of their members Milena Kunz Bijno, wife of the former German Ambassador to Malta Gerhard Kunz.
The group also included Maria Dierker, Edle von Frantzius, Regine Gontermann, Rose Kretzschmar, Christiane Rucker and Dr Clotilde Lafont Koenig who is the President of the GEDOK BONN Association as well as Delegate of the Malta International (105 Nations) Arts Biennale.
The group received a warm welcome from the mayor of Mgarr, Paul Vella after visiting the magnificent church and lunching at Il-Barri.
The group was delighted to see the works of R.O.Schabbach, Leader of the K18 Art Movement in Germany and member of the Fusionist Art Movement created in the year 2001 in Greece, which celebrates works created jointly by artists.
Milena Kunz Bijno whose work has been at the entrance of the Tempra Museum and on the cover of the Museum Catalogue, donated an additional extraordinary collage to the Museum entitled Tempo Rotrovato.
These German artists will also take part in the 2011 Malta Arts Biennale in the heart of Paris 15-31 July at the Centre Culturel Christine Peugeot, 62 Avenue de la Grande Armee -75017 PARIS.
