Le Méridien Rewards creative talents

Le Méridien St Julian’s Hotel & Spa strives to support creative talents with an increasing commitment towards the arts and culture of our beautiful island. The hotel’s calendar of events for the following months is getting busy and 2012 holds a lot of surprises in terms of creative initiatives at the five-star property.

In order to enhance the fruitful creative partnerships that Le Méridien St Julian’s has already established with local artists through various exhibitions, the management recently organised an Art Cocktail party. A total of 10 artists gathered their styles and passion in one special evening. The painters selected one work of art from their personal collection to exhibit on the night and shared their insight on their technique and inspiration.

For this event, the hotel management invited its top VIP guests. “It was the perfect opportunity for our international travellers to get in touch with the artistic abundance of our archipelago,” explained Franco Vella, general manager. “We are proud of our brand message and its aspiration to support art in all its forms.”

For the occasion, Mr Vella had the great pleasure to present each artist with a certificate of appreciation for embracing art in accordance with Le Méridien Brand’s mission and philosophy. He officially thanked each and every one of them for their talent, creativity and commitment.

The artists who participated in the exhibition were Claire Azzopardi, Noel Azzopardi, Joseph Barbara, Martin Formosa, Francis Galea, Paul Galea, Monica Spiteri, Joseph. J. Spiteri Staines, Michael Wright and Christine X (Xuereb).

The event, which was held in the exhibition area of Le Méridien St Julians, was curated by Joe D. Hamilton M.B.E., A.I.L. (London).
