Condemning what it said was sensational reporting in In-Nazzjon today, the company said the product mentioned by the paper affected a small part of the investment portfolio of its clients.

"Diversification is the rule to mitigate such an effect, however the more one diversifies the higher the risk one runs of having an investment which under-performs". It said that it always took a professional approach in its dealings with clients who had suffered losses, keeping them informed regularly in their best interests.

The company said that it had also informed its clients to check with the Malta Financial Services Authority on what their rights were in these circumstances.

In its report, In-Nazzjon said that a number of investors had lost gtheir money in failed investments they made throgh Crystal Finance. The report said that the clients had requested the intervention of the MFSA to defend their interests.
