A 20-year-old man of Mgarr was grievously injured in a head-on collision in St Andrews Road Swieqi early this morning, the police said.
A Ford Transit driven by a 22-year-old of Birzebbuga and a Peugeot 405 driven by the Mgarr man were involved in the collision, which took place at 2.15am.
The Ford Transit driver suffered slight injuries, and was also taken to hospital for treatment.
