A report on the BBC is highlighting Malta as seeking to be the festival hotspot for 2020.

The report is published a day after Malta saw a large increase in Coronavirus cases, with 65 of 85 migrants rescued by the AFM testing positive.

It also arrives as several constituted bodies, including the Medical Association of Malta and the Malta Employers Association, calling for a stop of mass events.

Last week, a party held in a hotel rekindled concern as several people also tested positive.

The number of active cases is now 99, when it was three only 10 days ago.
