Her electro-pop hit – Je Me Casse – was launched on Monday to rave reviews on YouTube – racking up over 5,000 likes in little over an hour.

The song which was written by Malin Christin, Amanuel Dermont, Nicklas Eklund and Pete Barringer aims to deliver a dance floor filler with an instant feel good factor.

In 2015, Destiny was selected to represent Malta at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Bulgaria, which she ended up winning with her track Not My Soul. Subsequently, she was also invited as a guest at the Eurovision Song Contest finals in 2016.

As Destiny matured, so too did her soulful voice, making her the vocal powerhouse she is today. She’s managed to showcase her abilities on many stages, including her recent international success performing on Britain’s Got Talent.

A milestone for the singer was winning X Factor Malta, after having been mentored by Eurovision legend Ira Losco. But her dream has always been to represent Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest.

Destiny says that her five biggest musical idols are: Lizzo, Beyonce, Aretha Franklin, Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion.

Malta joined the Eurovision song contest in 1971, but is yet to win the competition.

Malta finished third behind the UK and Ireland in 1992 and again in 1998 despite nearly winning the entire competition in one of the closest voting sequences ever. Chiara represented Malta that year with the song The One That I Love.

In 2002, Ira Losco secured Malta's best ever result, finishing second for Malta with the song 7th Wonder - a record equalled by Chiara when she returned with the song Angel in 2005.
