313 new cases of Covid-19 found as three more patients pass away

313 new cases of Covid-19 were reported on Tuesday, as three more patients passed away during the last 24 hours.

Health authorities said in their daily update that two 70-year-old women and a 73-year-old man had passed away at Mater Dei Hospital while Covid positive.

215 people meanwhile have recovered, meaning that the number of active cases has increased to 3,113.

4,463 swab tests were administered on Monday, taking the total up to 763,393 so far.

126,277 doses of the vaccine have been administered thus far, with 40,681 people having received both doses of the vaccine.

Malta has had 27,061 cases of the virus.  23,591 of those have recovered, while 357 have died.
