Twenty-five new Covid-19 cases were recorded in Malta on Tuesday as the number of patients in hospital rises two eight, up from six.

For the fifth day running, however, there are no patients in intensive care.

Health authorities said that 27 patients have recovered, which means that the number of active cases has dropped slightly to 292.

The number of deaths remains at 459.

Until yesterday, the number of vaccination doses administered was 831,113.

So far, Malta has registered 37,248 cases while 36,088 people have recovered.
