MDA appoints new council... but with just an acting president as Sandro Chetcuti leaves

A new Council for the Malta Developers Association was appointed during its annual general meeting.

Denise Micallef Xuereb was appointed as Vice-President, Michael Stivala was appointed as Secretary General, Alfred Camilleri was appointed as Treasurer.

Paul Attard, Anton Camilleri, Leon Chetcuti, Pierre Galea, Malcolm Mallia, Carlo Mifsud and Pio Vassallo were elected as Council Members.

Michael Stivala will be Acting President until the end of the year, or until a new President is appointed since no nominations for the post were made.

During the meeting, a motion was also unanimously approved for Sandro Chetcuti, the former President, to be appointed honorary president in view of his work over the past years.

Chetcuti, in his final address as President, said he wants to see the MDA continue to grow and strengthen.

President Emeritus Marie Louise Coleiro Preca attended the meeting and thanked the MDA for its work and contribution in the social context.
